Nearly all modern television sets today come in the widescreen 16:9 format and if you don't have your wedding filmed in 16:9 it will not fill the whole screen - instead black bars will appear either side of the picture. There is no way to convert a 4:3 film into a 16:9 format without cropping into the picture, decreasing the field of view and the quality of the movie so it is essential that the film is captured in 16:9 in the first place.
